The Importance of a Prayer Journal

So today I am going to tell you the importance of a prayer journal. I have just started using a prayer journal myself to help me with my stress levels from school and life. My mom suggested doing a prayer journal because she does it, and it helps her with life. This is not only is suitable for writing to release stress, but it is an excellent way to speak to the Lord. My mom said it would be good to keep track of all your prayers, and I agree with her. So that when you get older you will be able to read and see what you ask from the Lord.

There are so many things to choose from to be your prayer journal. You could get a plain spiral notebook and decorate it yourself, or you could go to Ross and buy a pre-decorated journal. Don't not speak to the Lord because he is the one that is guiding your path of life and without him I can't even imagine where I would be right know.

By the way, I will be posting a whole entire new post on the importance of a bible study. I just wanted you to know the what I use for my Bible study because it is in the background of the picture. The bible study that I use is one by Hayley DiMarco, and it is the Devotions for the God Girl and the matching God Girl Bible. Middle School Friendship

Today I'll be talking about middle school friendship and to get out of a bad problem if the plans or actions of your choice of friends change. I have recently experienced this problem before and it was this year in 7th grade. So I am going to tell you my experience and how I figured out how to deal with it.

So first I will talk about what I see and am looking for with a friend and there are multiple things that I find in people. When my "friends" stopped meeting the expectation of a friend, I just stopped being friends with. I don't want to lower my expectations or my parents expectations of myself just to have a friend or be called a friend.

What do I look for in a friend?

1.) Characteristic

  •  Do they have the same expectations that my family and I follow or is it a lower expectation of themselves?
  • Do they act crazy, wild, wise, mellow,or shy and which is matching me the best at that stage of life?
  • Do they have the same and equal heart for God and prayer?

2.) Family Expectation

  • Do they follow the same rules?
  • Do they act the same as me and my family?

3.) Parent Pass

  •  Do I think my parents will believe that this is the right friend?
  • Do they meet my parents expectations?
  • Do I have a parent pass on this friend?

                                                      X
                                                                     ( Parent Signature )

So make the adjustments that you would like and use it as your friend finder. And help you find your right friend.

So now I will tell you the story of my friend dilemma. So I met a girl in kindergarten and we decided to become good friends and we wanted to be a friend forever (BFF). We were friends in kindergarten,1st grade,2nd grade and e.t.c. in 2nd grade my mom met a friend that was a neighbor that and daughter my age and we became friends. She went to the same school as me and my other and I introduced her to my first friend. So they became friends and we were happy, but the second best friend found another friend and introduced her to us. So now we are 4 best friends. So it stayed at the number 4  until 4th grade and I met another friend she in my class and at recess I introduced her to the other and now it is 5. In  5th grade of elementary school, we had a special place that we went to at recess time it was a tree that gave off shade so we made it ours. It became a problem because boys and people would just come and mess with us and we told them to stop, but they didn't. It got to the point to were my first friend got very emotional and just pushed them to leave and we told on them and they adventitial left. It is now the end of the year and we are about to go to middle school. We were afraid that we would lose our connection in middle school because there were pods and we thought that we wouldn't be in the same pod. So that summer we got together and did an end of year party. At that party, i was expecting a real party but half of the time they were calling boys and doing that in didn't feel comfortable with. I told them to stop and they did then we did the real party. The next year in 6th grade my first 3 friends were all in the same pod. I was in a different pod and the fourth friend said that something had happened during camp and she left the group and I somewhat confused. By the end of the year, they had changed a lot and the same me. I wear appropriate clothing, not wearing makeup, and I wasn't buying expensive clothing or accessories. At the end of the year, my parents started giving me the talking that they wouldn't be with me forever and that I MIGHT have to leave the friendship chain. I didn't want to do it because I felt so insecure about myself and I thought " what would I do at lunch and were would I sit". The next year this year I sat at their table once but then I sat somewhere else. I final saw who they really were and it wasn't close to my expectation at all. But before that choose I talked to my mom and I finally told her what I was feeling and everything that was happening and together we made the chose that I leave.

So that is my friendship story and I hope I showed you what to do when you have a problem. The #1 thing you should do after you read this and you are having this problem yourself is go talk to your mom, dad or your guardian. You will feel so much better.

Determined Running

Today we're going to be talking about how to get through the hard times and push yourself even harder than you thought. When you're running whether, it is 1.5 miles or even a 5-mile run. It doesn't matter how fast you're going to run, you are going to run it the best you personally think you can ( I don't think that is walking). To help you picture this a little better, I will tell you a life experience that happen to me today in middle school cross country. But first let me give you some background information about my cross country years.

So this is the start of my second year of cross country at my middle school. Last year, I was in 6th grade going out for all types of clubs and actives. My mom and dad had been running so I  thought to give running a try and I ended up loving it, even though it was a challenge, but it wasn't difficult. So in my 6th-grade I tried it out and I not only met new friends that I am still friends with this 7th-grade year, but I learned  2 new things.

1.) I learned what it really means to run.
A.) NO run and walk exist in this really world
     B.)It is DIFFIDENTLY not easy
2.) I learned the correct meaning of hard work.
A.) pushing it till it hurts
B.) driving it till it hurts
     C.) run your butt off

So now I'm in my second year and in 7th grade now. I have beaten my PR ( personal record ) from last year and I got there by working hard and pushing myself to my highest limits. So today in Cross Country they said, " run the course at your race pace." So when I hear that I think to myself " faster than last race" but to do that I have to not only pace myself but push myself to get farther and faster. But when you do that I will hurt from pain in your mind because to be honest your not even close to pain.

When things got difficult and I felt like, I couldn't make it to the end. I felt like I needed to fall and lay in the burning sun. ( which wouldn't help because you are laying in the sun even more). I play a song in my head that motivates me to the end. The song is Imma Do It; by J Moss. So the overall message is to do it till you reach the end and motivate yourself.

Motivational Song: Imma Do It ; by J Moss
